I completed my B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics from Banaras Hindu University in 2009, my Master's in Geophysics from Banaras Hindu University in 2013, and my PhD from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research in 2022 at the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa. During my PhD, I worked with 2D and 3D seismic reflection data to identify gas hydrate and free gas deposits in the Krishna-Godavari and Cauvery-Mannar basins offshore India. I have participated in various seismic expedition cruises for data acquisition and sampling.I am proficient in using software such as Promax, Petrel, OpenDtect, Seismic Unix, QGIS, and Adobe Illustrator. I also have good programming skills in shell scripting and MATLAB. I developed my own seismic velocity modeling code, written partially in shell script and partially in MATLAB.I have experience in identifying fault and fracture networks and understanding their role in the migration of hydrocarbon gases from deep subsurface to shallow depths. My expertise includes identifying pockmarks and vents on the seafloor, high-pressure zones, shallow and deep gas pockets, and shell tectonics.I have field experience handling various seismic equipment such as hydrophones, sparker, and chirp systems. Additionally, I have worked on collecting shallow seismic data in different rivers in Goa, Rameswaram, and Gujarat (India) to identify sand deposits and locate paleochannels.
